Bears upset Packers as QB gets hurt
The Chicago Bears upset Green Bay 27-20 to create a three-way tie atop the NFC North among the Bears, Packers and Detroit Lions. Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers hurt his non-throwing shoulder on their first series, and the Packers offense was not the same with backup Seneca Wallace at the helm.

Dolphins teammate drama
The troubled saga between Miami Dolphins teammates Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin took an ominous turn yesterday. Two people spoke to The Associated Press with fresh revelations that the suspended Incognito sent text messages to his teammate that were racist and threatening. Martin left the team last week because of emotional issues.

‘Coach Fox’s team’
Saying “This is Coach Fox’s team,” Denver Broncos interim coach Jack Del Rio says his job is to just keep the 7-1 team running until Fox comes back. The 58-year-old Fox is recovering after having his aortic valve replaced in an operation he had hoped to delay until after the Super Bowl.

Kubiak recovering
The Houston Texans say 52-year-old Gary Kubiak could be released from the hospital today. The Texans coach collapsed on the field at halftime of the Texans’ 27-24 loss to Indianapolis Sunday night and was hospitalized for precaution and observation.

UNDATED (AP) __ Following their surprising 3-0 starts, the Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves tasted defeat last night. Golden State trounced the 76ers 110-90, the L.A. Clippers beat the Rockets 137-118 and Cleveland nipped the T-Wolves 93-92.
